Undulating White Cloth is an ode to the Yoruba deity, Obatala, who represents wisdom and is represented in mountain ranges. The short film takes place at Mt. Tamalpais, a mountain sacred to local Indigenous groups, in Northern California. Undulating White Cloth is part of a larger, in progress, series which situates African diasporic archetypes in the natural landscape and history of California.
